Spring Roundup
Record: 16-8! 2nd in TL!
Spring MVP: 1B Julio Ortega (.358/.463/.701, 6 HR in 67 AB)
Cause for Concern?: OF Chad Bass (.237/.308/.271, 2 extra base hits in 59 AB)
Pitching MVP: RP Paul Hill (0 ER in 17.2 IP)
Cause for Concern?: SP Guillermo Mendoza (12 BB in 15 IP, 8.4 ERA)
-Haddonfield wraps up a successful spring, coming in second in the Trillian League. The wins were probably a result of playing starters more often than other teams or dumb luck, but hopefully all the rust will be shaken off.
-The team stayed injury free for the most part. Although SP Ricardo Gomez will begin the year on the DL with shoulder soreness. He also sat a large part of spring with a sore back. Gomez was competing for the 5th rotation spot, and may get it when he returns.
-Free Agent add Harvey Phillips impressed with a 1.26 ERA, giving fans some optimism that the rotation will improve from a terrible '10. Guillermo Mendoza was rocked in a few spring outings, the team is depending on him to be an ace once the games get serious.
